CHAD PERGRAM: Now, when George Floyd's brother, Philonise, testified at today's House hearing on police violence, he filed into the Congressional auditorium, passed a statue of Wade Hampton of South Carolina who supported the KKK. Now Confederate figures are not the only controversial statutes in the U.S. Capitol. There was a senator from Nevada, a Democrat Pat McCarran, who was known as a race-baiter. McCarran, in fact, said that he thought the United States was going to be "contaminated by aliens." A lot of these figures, you know they're very complicated - he was considered to be the father of the Air Force. And Sean, if you fly into Las Vegas, you fly into McCarran International Airport.
