STEVE DOOCY (CO-HOST) A Black Lives Matter activist is actually going to run for mayor of the great city of Baltimore, Maryland. Somebody who knows that region is Rod Wheeler, down in D.C. right now. Rod, what do you think of this?

ROD WHEELER: You know, I think it's good and I think it's admirable that this young guy wants to get involved in the political process. I think it's bad though, however, Steve, that this guy is getting his messages and his knowledge from people that have destroyed this city over the past 20 years. Now, what do I mean by that? The city of Baltimore has had Democratic mayors for the past 20 years. Look at the city of Baltimore today. It's a disaster zone. Starting with O'Malley to the Mayor [Stephanie] Rawlings[-Blake] and all the rest of these folks. Now, this guy, McKesson is his name, he gave a speech at Yale University recently about his involvement with the Black Lives Matter movement. And let me tell you what this guy said, and this is a guy now that wants to lead this city. He actually said that he supported and he validated the rioting and the looting that took place in Baltimore. Now, if you want to vote for a person like that, all that person is going to do is continue to, you know, lead to the demise of this city. And I'll tell you one other thing this guy said. He said he had recently met with Hillary Clinton and he had recently met with Bernie Sanders. Well, let me tell you something. If you're getting into politics you're off on the wrong foot if you're going to start off talking to Bernie Sanders and Hillary Clinton. Why hasn't this guy talked to John Kasich, why hasn't this guy talked to Chris Christie?

DOOCY: Well, he's a Democrat.

WHEELER: Well, that's the problem. I mean, that's the problem right there. I mean, and I don't say that at all with any, you know, insult or anything like that. But that has been the problem, guys, with all of these cities. Look at Ferguson. Look at New York City with De Blasio. Until we get a different perspective in there, a Republican perspective, we won't see a change.

BRIAN KILMEADE (CO-HOST): Well, the primaries are April 26, so he gets in on the deadline. His name is DeRay McKesson. And if he gets in there, he's going have to answer for that. Because when you become a mayor, you can't just throw out the Democrat or Republican. You have to get things done in that city. And so far at 30 years old, he only proved that he could burn things down.
