The Wall Street Journal's new New York edition, originally set to debut April 12, will now come out on April 26, according to the Associated Press.

“Other media outlets had reported the New York section would launch April 12,” AP disclosed. “But a Journal spokeswoman said Thursday the newspaper hadn't picked a debut date until settling on April 26.”

The new edition is seen as a direct attack on The New York Times, which has been losing New York area circulation for years.
