MARIA BARTIROMO (ANCHOR): And then there's tariffs, Bill, I want to get your take on this, because of course the [Wall Street] Journal has written a lot about the impact of tariffs, and potentially a negative impact there. We spoke on Sunday with the commerce secretary, Howard Lutnick, who seemed to open the door that the tariffs on Mexico and Canada can be negotiated down.

...

BARTIROMO: So, Bill, what do you think? I mean, there is still room for negotiation here. Do you expect that the president will respond with a lowered tariff from Mexico and Canada, or do you expect that we're going to have sort of a hawkish response here on those countries, as well as the reciprocal tariffs coming on April 2?

BILL MCGURN (WSJ EDITORIAL BOARD MEMBER): Well, I hope there's a deal. I can't really say anything nice about tariffs. I think they're anti-growth and a bad thing to play around with, because they can get out of hand. That said, what we know about President Trump is he likes a deal and he is willing to make last-minute deals. So, I hope they can come to an agreement before these really impact.
