MATT GERTZ (GUEST): As usual with Donald Trump, it all kind of comes back to the fact that he's obsessed with the people he sees on his television. Donald Trump's obsessed with Fox News. He spends hours every day watching it. Back when he was president, he would spend a good part of his day, from the White House, tweeting along with Fox and Friends and the rest of the Fox lineup.

And so something, that I noticed, when, Donald Trump would, you know, before he went into the courthouse every day, give a little statement to the assembled media, he would always, I think what he's been doing is reading through a bunch of people who he says are legal scholars and experts who all agree that there's no case.

And it turns out that those people who he's been talking about are just the folks that are on Fox News 24/7 talking about the case. He is basically taking in the propaganda that Fox puts out to his supporters, and then he's pumping it right back out again. It's a feedback loop, more or less, that is powering his discussions and explanations of what is happening at the trial and even, some of the witness decisions.
