Fox News repeatedly hosts white nationalist-approved “Student for Ye” organizer

Daniel Schmidt: “We are entering straight up anti-white genocidal rhetoric”

Fox News has repeatedly invited right-wing writer and former “Students for Ye” organizer Daniel Schmidt on its platform to complain about “anti-white hatred” on college campuses.

Schmidt, a University of Chicago student, gained media attention in 2022 for launching an online campaign targeting a professor who was planning to teach a class titled “The Problem of Whiteness” at the university. The professor reportedly received violent threats following Schmidt’s crusade to get the class taken off the roster.

On July 13, Schmidt appeared in a Fox News interview to discuss stories from CNN and The New York Times recounting his harassment campaign.

A week later, Schmidt appeared on Fox Business’ Varney & Co. to discuss the class and the media response.

During the interview, Schmidt described the class as “clear-cut anti-white hatred,” complained that “it just shows the double treatment — the second-class treatment of white people,” and suggested that “we are entering straight up anti-white genocidal rhetoric.”

Schmidt formerly organizedStudents for Ye,” a grassroots group created to support rapper Ye’s (formerly Kanye West) potential campaign for president following the musician's unhinged pro-Nazi rants during which he denied the Holocaust and praised Nazis and Adolf Hitler.

Schmidt has also made antisemitic remarks on Twitter. Additionally, white nationalist and Holocaust denier Nick Fuentes has repeatedly applauded Schmidt for his far-right commentary, describing him as a “patriot.” Other white nationalists, including Kevin MacDonald and Peter Brimelow, have praised Schmidt's activism.
