Limbaugh Fill-In Needs To Check His Dictionary

Doug Urbanski, Rush Limbaugh's fill-in this week, needs to check his dictionary.

He spent much of Friday's show reviewing a New York Times article on President Obama and his response to the BP oil leak. At one point, he cited the Times' description of Obama's success in getting BP to put up $20 billion for a special fund as “arm-twisting.”

He then tried to link that description to Rep. Joe Barton's comments that Obama's efforts were a “shakedown” in an effort to give Barton some credibility.

“Barton apologized for saying virtually the same thing,” Urbanski said.

Not quite.

The Merriam-Webster Dictonary online defines arm-twisting as: " the use of direct personal pressure in order to achieve a desired end."

Its definition of a shakedown: " to obtain money from in a deceitful, contemptible, or illegal manner."

Quite a difference Mr. Urbanski.
