The Anchorage Daily News, which previously editorialized in favor of the health care reform legislation, came out again for it Thursday with an editorial that focused on its positive impact for seniors.
“Sen. Mark Begich managed to include a provision in the health care reform bill that allows the state to provide grants to health care providers who serve underserved populations -- like Alaska's Medicare patients,” the editorial states, in part.
This piece comes one day after another editorial praised the overall health care plan, stating: “Some of the changes help millions of us -- the high-risk pool, no children denied for pre-existing conditions, no lifetime dollar limits, help for seniors with prescription drug costs. These are changes that most Americans will support. They aim to improve Americans' access to affordable care.”
