STEVE DOOCY (CO-HOST): That's right. All right. David Spunt live from our D.C. Bureau. Thank you very much. You know, Congressman Fitzpatrick is absolutely right, it's messy. But –

BRIAN KILMEADE (CO-HOST): That was Gallagher.

DOOCY: – Gallagher. But I heard so many people say 'This is how democracy works'. This is not democracy. This is televised hijacking. Keep in mind, as David said there are two hundred people who are in Kevin McCarthy's corner. There are 20 or ten percent who want anybody else. But they don't have – number one, they don't have a plan really because they make it up every day but they don't have a viable candidate. They put – first it was Andy Biggs. Then it was Jim Jordan. Now it's Byron Donalds. Who is it going to be today? They are intent, simply, on blowing up the party which they are doing – and this Congress. They do not care.

AINSLEY EARHARDT (CO-HOST) You make a good point though. If they don't like McCarthy shouldn't they have a solid candidate in the wings? They keep changing.

DOOCY: Why don't they nominate Matt Gaetz. Matt Gaetz has been on the floor all the time. He's one of them.

EARHARDT: He's the original holdout.

DOOCY: He has made it very clear he will not in a million years vote for Kevin Mccarthy. Put Matt Gaetz up today. Let's see what happens to him. How many votes is he going to get? Twenty! That's how many.
