After appearing on Fox’s Tucker Carlson Today, right-wing troll Alex Stein hosted white supremacist Holocaust denier Nick Fuentes on his podcast, Conspiracy Castle. Stein promoted the podcast during his appearance with Carlson.
On the episode with Fuentes posted to YouTube on July 20, Stein repeatedly applauded the leader of the white supremacist America First movement.
Fuentes also praised Stein multiple times during the episode, telling the host he’s “been doing amazing” and calling him “the No. 1 rockstar in the right wing.” Stein responded that he wants “to form a relationship” with Fuentes, even though he is “definitely going to get canceled from everything now for having you on.”
Stein also said the Holocaust denier is “very funny” and “really talented,” and compared Fuentes to Infowars conspiracy theorist Alex Jones, praising him for creating a “brand” at such a young age.
At one point, Stein asked Fuentes if was a “tiki torch guy” during his attendance at the deadly 2017 white nationalist rally in Charlottesville, Virginia, and stated that it’s “fine, I don’t care” if he was. The conversation around Charlottesville led to Fuentes claiming that racism “isn’t going on” in America and “to the extent that it is going on in the country, it’s against white people.”
Fuentes then went on to claim “racial hatred” in the country is “coming from Hollywood, it’s coming from a lot of Jewish people.” They both named actress Sarah Silverman and actor Seth Rogen as Jews known for targeting Christian people and promoting anti-white ideas. In an attempt to explain his antisemitic views, Fuentes claims “the elite all hate white Christians,” and “a lot of them are actually ethnically and religiously Jewish.”
At one point, Stein also told his guest “you’ve got to stop” using the n-word during his streams “even though it’s funny,” because it’s “hate fuel” for people on the left.
Fuentes had a quick rise among the “alt-right” after attending the Unite the Right protest in Charlottesville in 2017, hosting the podcast America First and eventually launching the white nationalist “America First” movement. His followers are also referred to as the “Groypers.” In February 2022, Fuentes’ America First Political Action Conference was attended by Reps. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) and Paul Gosar (R-AZ). Fuentes has also denied the Holocaust, saying “the math doesn’t seem to add up” to the number of Jewish victims.
He mobilized his supporters to attend numerous “Stop the Steal” and anti-vaccine rallies, and continues to push for the Republican Party to move further right into extremist spaces. On his podcast, which has been banned from YouTube for violating hate speech guidelines, Fuentes pushed violent, racist, and antisemitic rhetoric, even describing his website as “anti-gay, anti-woman, anti-Black, [and] antisemitic.”
A former reality TV contestant, Stein has made a name for himself spouting conspiracy theories online and making unhinged stunts at local government meetings. During Pride Month, Stein appeared at a Dallas drag event protesting alongside self-proclaimed “Christian fascists,” calling attendees “child groomers” and “disgusting.” He went viral last week for sexually harassing Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) on the Capitol steps, later appearing on right-wing podcaster Tim Pool’s Timcast IRL to defend the incident.
During the podcast with Fuentes, Stein claimed he will appear at right-wing student group Turning Point USA’s “Student Action Summit” and is planning a speaking tour in the fall with the group.
